Hi
This is my first post in this forum and I hope you guys can help me with some advice. I am going to be involved in a friendly one on one duel in our guild hall. The opponent will be an Ele fire nuker. I am not sure about all of his skills but I know for certain that he will have 2 attunements (fire attunement + elemental attunement/E), Rodgort's Invocation, Fireball, Searing Heat. I doubt he will be using any interrupting skills. So my question is can a Necro take that kind of Ele down or is it completely hopeless?
I have been entertaining the idea Necro/Ele and use Obsidian Flesh or Necro/Me and use Mantra of Fire.
What do you think?

Just an Obsidian Flesh + Glyph of Swiftness Earth build. Maybe an Obsidian Flame to kill him faster.

This is sad. The only way a necro can fight an ele is by using secondaries? I guess necros are useless. So much for balance.

You'd be better off taking a different primary. SR is useless in pvp so you're basicly playing an empty class.

lol so just because a Necro can't beat an Ele it makes it an empty class? Now I don't play Necro much so I'm not clear of it's full potential... but surely it can beat other proffessions with it's primary attributes. And even then like others have said, Obsi Flesh and glyph of swift is only 2 ele skills. After that just pack 6 other necro skills and do some pwnin...

I'm saying anything you put on a necros bar will work better with a different primary because SR doesn't work in pvp (at least without gimmicks). And I'm saying it's an empty class because, in pvp, it's like playing a class that doesn't have a primary.

Believe me I wish SR had some non-gimmick use in pvp, it's my favorite class. But everytime I log on and try to put skills on my bar, I notice that almost every necro skill works better with a different primary.

My first thoughts as well. Mesmer secondary with Power Block as your {E} and it will be a laugh fest as all of his skills are rendered useless.

balence and 1v1 are not a good combo.

Should be a walk over against a fire ele just bring soul leech and kite his spells ^^.

Sorry, I don't PvP or go one on one, so I thought Mark of Subversion would interupt an Attunement. Guess not?

If not, then use Mantra of Flame.

But why use those skills with a necro primary? Wouldn't you rather have a primary that has some use in pvp? The point I'm trying to make is that the primary is useless, not the skills.

As a side question, weren't the "Warrior Hate" hexes nerfed? It's been a while sense I played sense the necro nerf.
